PART 2

Arkansas Governor Mike Beebe is heading into his final two years in office with a more than above average approval rating. But the popular governor's finale will no doubt have a red tint to it if Republicans finish what they started in 2010 and capture the majority in the state legislature.

Even with a new majority, though, Beebe doesn't expect Arkansas to resemble Washington politics any time soon. Then again, there's no hiding the fact that the dynamics in the state have changed.

In a recent sit down with Governor Beebe, the longtime political figure talked about the 2012 elections, the big ballot issues, the possibility of working with a Republican legislature and the shift in the Natural State's political landscape, and finally, what he would like to accomplish in his last two years -- including his legacy for the state: education, economic development, per capita income, etc.
