"It was a bad time for it to happen and it had to happen to us."
Problems at the polls in Benton County on Tuesday.
"We ran out of paper ballots because we didn't have enough. A delay was caused by our equipment inside when we were running the absentee ballots," said Benton County election chariman John Brown.
Those issues greeted voters with long lings at the ballot box.
"We did not really think that after early voting, there would be this demand for paper ballots like we've seen at the polling places. We performed logic and accuracy testing on there before election. They ran perfectly then but something is off with the tracking."
On Wednesday, Brown was moving forward.
"The commission and I will sit down and we'll try and figure out a better way to do things than what was done," said Brown.
Brown hopes this issue won't prevent folks in the county from taking advantage of their Democratic duty next time and election rolls around.
"We want people to go out and vote. We just need to reanalyze how the process worked last night and correct it."
