The Fayetteville Chamber of Commerce helped some children celebrate Thanksgiving for the first time on Tuesday.
The chamber hosted boys in the Youth Bridge Substance Abuse Program to a turkey dinner with all the dressings.
Golden Corral provided the food, and University of Arkansas basketball star Scotty Thurman ate with the boys to provide a positive influence.
"We have so many other things to be thankful for, and just knowing that some of these guys haven't had a chance to actually celebrate that, me being able to participate in it is kind of huge for me," he says.
The chamber hosts the event each year, and members hope it helps the kids feel the holiday spirit while going through treatment.
