Taken into custody was 34-year-old Demar Sanders, a ninth-grade civics teacher at Hall High School. He`s to be arraigned today.
The victim at the family home on Sterling Drive in Little Rock was Zackriah Sanders. Both Sanders and his wife had been attending church services in Faulkner County when Sanders suddenly left with his son, leaving his wife stranded. About an hour later, police say Sanders answered the door to his residence covered in blood and found his son dead.
Sanders was treated for self-inflicted knife wounds to his wrists.
