A homeless man is in Washington County Jail accused of setting a fire that destroyed a woman's apartment back in July.
According to court documents, on July 7, 2012, Springdale Police were called to Electric Ave. in reference to a fire that had completely destroyed an apartment there.
The apartment tenant told investigators she believed 47-year-old Donnie Fronterhouse was responsible for the fire because she had been in an argument with him earlier in the day.
The tenant told police she left the area and returned later to find Fronterhouse on her balcony. After leaving the area a second time, the tenant received a phone call from a neighbor that the apartment was on fire.
Detectives found Fronterhouse near the scene at the time, but he only admitted to arguing with the tenant and denied any involvement in the fire.
Investigators were later informed about threatening messages sent from Fronterhouse to the apartment tenant saying, "how'd you like that weenie roast last night," and "...arson is a nasty biz."
Police collected photographs of the messages and confirmed that they were sent from Donnie Fronterhouse the day after the fire.
Damages to the apartment building were estimated at nearly $150,000.
A warrant for felony arson was issued for Donnie Fronterhouse in September.
He was picked up by Tulsa Police Monday and is now in Washington County Jail on $50,000 bond.
