A local women's group is speaking out on the Paycheck Fairness Act hoping this time it will pass.

"Over time you can see that the proportions of a dollar that women get paid has always been smaller," Economist, Kathy Deck said.

The Paycheck Fairness Act would change that.

"The idea is if we all have the same job then we should all get paid equal amounts for it."

According to the latest census women are making about 77 cents to a mans dollar.

Tura Graves, President of Business and Professional women in Fayetteville wants women in Arkansas to take action.

"Get out and tell their representatives that they want this bill, they want it passed because we need that."
