FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - The No. 1 Arkansas baseball team continues its season-opening, eight-game home stand this week as it hosts New Orleans in a two-game midweek series Tuesday and Wednesday. First pitch is set for 3:05 p.m. for both games.

Both games of the midweek series will be available on RazorVision through ArkansasRazorbacks.com and on the Razorback Baseball Radio Network from IMG. Three-time Arkansas Sportscaster of the Year Chuck Barrett and former Arkansas Sports Information Director Rick Schaeffer will call the action. A live blog and live stats for each game will be available on ArkansasRazorbacks.com. Fans can also follow updates of each game on @RazorbackBSB, the official Twitter account of the Razorback baseball team.

Single-game tickets for the New Orleans series are still available. Tickets are $10 for reserved seats and may be purchased by calling 1-800-982-HOGS (4647), by visiting the online ticket center at ArkansasRazorbacks.com or on gameday at Baum Stadium, while supplies last.

The Razorbacks opened the season last weekend by winning two of three games over Western Illinois. Arkansas won the opener, 9-1, and clinched the series with a 7-2 victory in game two. The Razorbacks dropped the series finale to the Leathernecks, 7-5, on Sunday afternoon.

Arkansas hit .306 as a team in the three-game series vs. Western Illinois. Sophomore infielder/outfielder Brian Anderson led the Razorbacks at the plate with a .545 batting average with four RBI and three runs scored. Anderson had two hits in each game of the series. Freshman outfielder Tyler Spoon went 5-for-10 in the three games with three RBI and three runs scored. Sophomore outfielder Joe Serrano went 4-for-7 with a pair of RBI and two runs scored. Senior outfielder Matt Vinson batted .385 with three RBI and four runs scored, while senior infielder Jacob Mahan hit .375 with a RBI and two runs scored.

A pair of freshmen are scheduled to start on the mound in the series vs. New Orleans. Freshman southpaw Colin Poch will make his collegiate debut on Tuesday, while rookie right hander Trey Killian will get the ball in Wednesday's contest. Killian made his collegiate debut last Friday in relief and tossed three perfect innings, retiring all nine batters he faced.

Out of the bullpen, Thomas Altimont, Jalen Beeks, Brandon Moore and Tyler Wright have each made one appearance. Altimont closed out Arkansas' victory in game two against WIU and allowed a run with a strikeout in an inning. Beeks struck out four and gave up two hits in three shutout innings, while Moore tied a career high with five strikeouts and allowed a run on one hit in 5.2 innings. Wright finished the Razorbacks' season-opening win by throwing two shutout innings with three strikeouts.

New Orleans enters the midweek series with a 0-3 record after losing all three games of its series last weekend against Southeast Missouri State. The Privateers return 17 letterwinners from last year's team, including three starting position players.

The Privateers are hitting .272 as a team through the first three games of the season. Brian Dixon leads New Orleans at the plate with a .333 batting average. Chaz Boyer has a .308 batting average with a homer and a RBI, while Seth Laigast also has a homer with two RBI.
