Lane Matthew Jester, 43, has a warrant for his arrest on the charge of battery in the 1st degree, after police say; they found his ex-girlfriend beaten and bleeding from multiple head injuries on Tuesday night.

Fort Smith Police responded to an apartment on 1100 South 11ths after receiving reports of a severely injured woman covered in blood.

The 45 year old woman was transported to a local hospital where she is currently listed in stable condition, and being treated for head injuries and a broken arm, says Sgt. Daniel Grubbs.

Police believe that Jester and a friend went to the woman's apartment after drinking at a local bar, and that Jesters friend left to go buy pot. Police say the woman told them that when Jesters friend did not return he got angry and started beating her.

Police say Jester is known to have ties in Fort Smith, Van Buren, and Little Rock, Arkansas.

In addition to the Battery 1st Degree warrant, Lane Matthew Jester is also wanted on outstanding warrants in Crawford County.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Fort Smith Police Department. (479) 709-5100.
