12-Week Abortion Bill on Way to Governor's Desk

By: Julia Dodson
Updated: March 1, 2013

The 12-week abortion bill passed through the Senate Thursday morning. The bill now heads to Governor Mike Beebe's desk. The Fetal Heartbeat Protection Act already passed both chambers at the Arkansas Legislature. It moved back through the Senate because of amendments made when it advanced through the House. Governor Beebe is expected to veto the measure when it hits his desk.
