A spokesman with the university`s sports department tells us a pilot flew Nutt to Little Rock earlier to pick up Nutt`s mother and the pair were headed to Lafayette-Louisiana when the pilot noticed something was wrong. Fayetteville police say the rear landing gear on the plane wasn`t working and the pilot, carrying Houston Nutt and Emogene Nutt had to land his plane in Fayetteville.
No one was hurt and soon after the crash-landing Nutt and his mother hopped on another plane and flew to Lafayette where the two watched Houston Nutt`s brother, Dickey Nutt, coach Arkansas State at the Sun Belt basketball tournament.
