Dr. Ronnie Floyd Talks About Friendship With Jerry Falwell

Evangelist Jerry Falwell died Tuesday afternoon at the age of 73. He had a history of heart problems and collapsed at his office in Lynchburg, Virginia. Falwell is known for leading the televangelism movement and mixing politics with religion. He also founded Liberty University which has grown into one of the nation's premeire colleges.
Many people have been touched by Falwell's preaching and one of them is the pastor of First Baptist Springdale and The Church At Pinnacle Hills, Dr. Ronnie Floyd.
Floyd grew up watching Falwell on television and later became close friends with the evangelist. They got to know one another in 1988 when Falwell preached to Floyd's congregation in Springdale. Later, Floyd became involved with Liberty University.
Floyd spoke to KNWA about his relationship with Falwell and called the longtime pastor, "one of my heroes".
