The Fort Smith Police responded to a 911 call this morning from the First National Bank in the Phoenix Village mall on Towson Avenue.
Police describe the suspect as a white male with a medium build and was wearing a ball cap, sunglasses and black gloves.
Bank Tellers told police that the robber gave them a note saying "This is a stick up" then demanded money and walked out.
As the robber was leaving the bank, a bank employee says she walked into the bank and thought he looked suspicious and got the tag number off of his vehicle.
The robber was driving a Blue Buick with an Arkansas Tag number 309LJJ. The Fort Smith Police have Billy Wayne Farris as a person of interest but, say he is not a suspect at this time.
Fort Smith Police have not made any connection with the other First National Bank robbery in Fort Smith and the two Arvest Bank robberys in Fayetteville.
