The Natural State could see a total reconstruction of the marriage statute. Earlier this year, the state legislature tried to keep anyone under age 18 from marrying, unless a pregnancy is involved, but a drafting error has several legislators calling for a total reconstruction of the law in 2009. Lawmakers are also questioning whether marriage under 18 should be allowed with parental consent, and if pregnancy should even be involved in the decision.
