Bentonville police arrested a man while he was serving time for another crime. Up until last week, Jason Stewart was on the states work release program, which allowed him to leave the jail during the day and come back at night. Stewart told deputies he spent the time from 6 a.m. till 6 p.m. working for an electrician, but police said they didnt buy it. They say Stewart was stealing checks from mailboxes while he was suppose to be working. Police arrested Stewart last week on felony charges.
