2006 proved to be a very lucrative one for the city of Rogers as sales tax revenue rolled in thanks to Pinnacle Hills Promenade. The new stores and restaurants up north gave Fayetteville a run for their money, and left some wondering what would happen. Well it seems time did tell and after the newness of the Promenade has worn off a bit, shoppers are bringing back business to the Northwest Arkansas Mall.
Jeff bishop with the Fayetteville mall said Black Friday proved profitable. He expects the upward trend to continue as the newness of the Promenade fades.
Shoppers say there is more variety at the Promenade, but on days where the temperatures are low and the rain is coming down, theyd rather stay indoors.
The Northwest Arkansas Mall is adding new stores like Forever 21 and some stores are remodeling to give the mall a mini face lift..
