Doctors, nurses, health professionals and volunteers from the NICU will be on hand to welcome back former patients of the unit that specializes in the care of premature and/or congenitally ill infants. UAMS has treated more than 10,000 babies in its NICU.
"Infants can remain in the NICU anywhere from one day to four months," said Alexandra Warner, who works as a bedside nurse at UAMS. "We form real bonds with our patients and their families. This interactive party is a way for all of us to reconnect and have some fun!"
The event, at the UAMS Hospital Lobby and Gallery, will feature popular singing duo Brian and Terri Kinder and is free for former NICU patients and their families. Attendees who park in the underground deck at Parking 1 will have their tickets validated.
