7hills Homeless Center
Mission: To end homelessness in Northwest Arkansas and to provide a place of support and shelter, where those in need will receive the compassion, guidance, information, and assistance that will allow them to achieve their potential.
Seven Hills Homeless Center seeks to end homelessness in Northwest Arkansas by providing programming that addresses the core causes of the issue. Seven Hills consists of two primary service areas: The Walker Family Residential Community and the Day Center.
Within the Walker Family Residential Community, the Transitional Housing Program for single men, women, and families serves up to 16 residents and 3 families. Residents receive two to twenty-four months of housing, case management, and other assistance to support their progress toward stable, independent living. A second component, the Supportive Living Program, offers permanent housing for 8 individuals with disabilities.
The Day Center at Seven Hills offers men, women, and children a place to access resources and move forward toward jobs, housing, and self-sufficiency. Most progress toward ending cycles of homelessness is accomplished during the day, and Seven Hills helps people toward their goals. Services provided at the Seven Hills Day Center meet basic human needs including meals, showers, storage lockers, laundry, clothing, blankets, case management and service referrals, use of telephone and computers, coffee, newspapers, safe mail drop, transportation, groceries, crisis counseling, volunteer opportunities, identification and birth certificate assistance, psychological counseling referrals and assessments, prescription assistance, day labor opportunities, and job search assistance.
Seven Hills has established partnerships with many of the most effective service organizations in Northwest Arkansas to enhance the resources available to our clients, maximize the donations we have received, and minimize service duplication. We recognize we cannot be experts in all areas in which our clients need assistance and are proud to be the hub where those in need obtain the plan they need to master their crisis.
