Since 1995, Community Blood Center of the Ozarks has met the transfusion needs of patients throughout the Ozarks. Each day, it takes 275 blood donations to meet the needs of patients in thirty-six hospitals supplied by CBCO.
Hospitals in thirty-eight counties of southwest Missouri, northwest Arkansas and southeast Kansas rely on Community Blood Center of the Ozarks donors. All blood and blood products transfused to patients in these hospitals come from donors like you.
CBCO is the exclusive provider of blood and blood products to thirty-six hospitals in a thirty-eight county area comprising southwest Missouri, northwest Arkansas and southeast Kansas. Over 75,000 units of blood are required each year to meet the transfusion needs of our friends and neighbors. We at CBCO take the responsibility of providing that blood very seriously. Our mission states that we will achieve this goal in a timely manner, at the lowest reasonable fee, while remaining accountable to the local community, blood donors and health care providers. With your help, we can accomplish this goal each and every day.
Giving blood is the greatest thing you can do today, because it will make a difference tomorrow in the lives of your relatives, friends and neighbors.
This website has tools and information that will help you in every step of the donation process. With a few clicks of your computer mouse, you can find out about upcoming drives in your area, schedule an appointment to donate, find out about the current blood supply levels, and read about real people whose lives were changed by this incredible gift.
Community Blood Center of the Ozarks is your blood center. We encourage each of you to give life to our community, and to take pride in the knowledge that your donation is wanted, needed and appreciated. With your continued support, CBCO will continue to meet the blood needs of patients in the Ozarks for many years to come.
