Pittsburgh, PA - The President made the stop Pittsburgh Friday afternoon. It was the final stop on his 2-day "Betting on America" bus tour. One that Erie County democrats didn't want to miss.
The campaign trail through northern Ohio and western Pennsylvania coincided with Friday's release of June's job numbers. News that isn't necessarily favorable for Obama, but he says he's running for another term to make sure more Americans get back to work.
The president spoke often about manufacturing jobs, a facet of Erie County's economy that local democrats agree needs to be a priority.
The latest jobs report is being described as weak, but his supporters are optimistic he will turn those numbers around with another four years.
The President said today the problem is a stalemate in Congress. Missa Eaton is the democratic candidate for Pennsylvania's 3rd Congressional district and she agrees.
These Erie County democrats say they will now head home with the President's message in mind and focus on getting out the vote over the next 4 months.
