Leftover Money Goes To Local Causes

With the recent end of the state's legislative session, lawmakers divvied up leftover funds among several local causes. The leftover money actually comes from the general improvement fund. That fund is made up of interest earned on taxpayer money and money left over from the last two-year budget cycle.
Northwest Arkansas Community College (NWACC) received $975,000.00 for improvements. Almost $50,000.00 were allotted to child advocacy centers around the state. If you would like more information about these funds and where they're going, visit www.arkansas.gov.
