Winter is the fire season in Northwest Arkansas and the conditions are ripe for some big ones. Monday, The National Weather Service issued a Red Flag Warning for Thirty-two counties in Arkansas. Also, fifty-four state counties are under burn ban. Forestry workers blame record low rainfall... and unusually high temperature for the danger.
The Forestry Commission is air tankers back into service, a month and a half in advance in case of catastrophe.
