Authorities believe the suspect is 18-year-old Adam Leadford, who escaped from a Michigan prison boot camp three days ago.
Adam Leadford was serving time in a Michigan prison for intentional damage to several school buses, resisting and assaulting a police officer and breaking and entering.
Sunday night, a Rogers police officer stopped a white truck for a routine traffic stop. A passenger in the truck jumped out and took off running, while the driver--believed to be Leadford-- backed the truck into the officer`s car and drove off.
Police caught up with the truck again at Second and Locust Street and a high speed chase ensued. The chase ended in Little Flock when the truck rear ended another car.
Rogers police, the Benton County Sheriff`s Department and Little Flock Police Department dispatched helicopters and K-9 units to the Little Flock area.
Authorities spotted the suspect again Monday afternoon at 12693 Scenic Drive. "We pursued him again on foot for a period of time before we actually had to use the helicopters and two K-9 dogs to try to track him. We do not have him in custody at this time and we`re hopeful that someone will recognize him," Kelley Cradduck of the Rogers Police Department said.
The Benton County Sheriff`s Department says the suspect is believed to be dangerous and armed with a rifle.
Authorities ask if anyone has any information on the suspect to contact the department.
The suspect was last seen wearing a tan hooded sweatshirt, blue wind-suit pants, and blue and orange tennis shoes.
