"X-Factor" Judges Second Guess Some Decisions

As the judges on the "X-Factor" reduce the contestants to sixteen -- at this stage in the competition being good, just isn't good enough.

"This is every man for himself, every woman for herself," says judge L.A. Reid. "Who are the great ones?"

The judge's homes segments of the show were taped several weeks ago; and watching it back for the first time made both Simon Cowell and L.A. Reid second guess some of their decisions.

"When we watch the show back, you sometimes think 'what were we thinking?'" says Cowell. "You get that emotion."

"We lose creditability points when we put somebody through that we shouldn't have," explains Reid. "Oh my god, I hear about it all the time: ''what were you guys thinking?'"
