Wednesday we told you about an intersection in Rogers getting a lot of attention from police. At 46th and Walnut, Rogers Police are now ticketing motorists who end up caught in the intersection.
Today, though, we talked to motorists who say they wish the intersections surrounding New Hope Road and the on and off ramps to I-540 would get the same attention. Construction and a lack of stop lights keeps traffic congested, and those trying to turn waiting for a long time.
Motorist Cassie Giroux explains her frustration, "It`s a regular problem and it`s even worse in the mornings. It`s a serious problem, they need to do something."
Rogers Police are considering adding either an officer to direct traffic at the intersection or a temporary stop sign. Despite the inconvenience, there have only been 10 accidents in this area since the start of the year.
Corporal Kelley Cradduck with the Rogers Police Department offers this advice for the meantime, "People need to do a couple of things: leave early enough since you know you`re going to have to wait, be courteous and be patient, or do the best you can to avoid that intersection all together."
