According to the study, students are getting higher grades.
In 1994 students received A`s in about 35 percent of their classes. Ten years later, the numbers jumped to 45 percent.
Sean Mulvanin, the head of the Senate, reports there is proof some students are achieving higher test scores when entering the university. There is also evidence of grade inflation, stating students work is not meriting their high mark. Not all professors agree.
Associate Professor Tom Costello said, "Every student is graded individually. If they meet the criteria then they earn those grades."
Mulvanan hopes their findings will convince professors to take a close look at their practices.
