Scranton, Lackawanna County - The clock is ticking down until Election Day but the campaigning isn't letting up.

Just hours before Bill Clinton held a rally in Scranton Monday night, republicans held a rally of their own.

Former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani and actor Jon Voight met with campaign volunteers during a "get out the vote" event in downtown Scranton.

"This man is a failure as a president," Giuliani said.

Dozens of people crowded into the GOP headquarters in Scranton to attend the event.

"We have a president who has failed us in many ways and that we know that is the truth. His record is the truth," Voight said.

The heavily-republican crowd and its surrogates called President Obama devisive, partisan and not worthy of another term. It is a message that energized the republican base.

"This is the most important election of my lifetime," volunteer Megan Murphy said. "The integrity of this country is at stake."

"Why are people without gasoline? What is FEMA doing? They're doing nothing!" Giuliani said to the crowd gathered.

The most stinging criticism of President Obama came when Giuliani, the former mayor of New York City, criticized President Obama for the way he handled the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy.

"I know the people of my city are suffering greatly," Giuliani said. "This president came there and took all the credit for the last four days. He's done nothing. People are waiting for water. They're waiting for gasoline, they're waiting for generators."

After Scranton, Giuliani and Voight also stopped in Wilkes-Barre hoping to show that Pennsylvania is still in play.

"There's a movement. You can't deny the movement, especially amongst the republican party. The energy is just there," volunteer Ellen Sartori said.
