Turpentine Creek Accepting Real Christmas Trees

If you still have your real Christmas tree lying around, there are some large four-legged felines looking for new toys.

Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge in Eureka Springs will take any real Christmas tree and give it to the big cats and bears to play with.

Employees say the animals really enjoy the trees.

"The animals just love it, it's a great enrichment toy for them, they like to tear it apart, you know, the scent is something different for them and so it gives them just a different activity to do," says Emily McCormack.

Turpentine Creek houses more than 100 large exotic rescue animals.
