Zooey Deschanel Scoops on Upcoming "New Girl" Episodes

Who's that defying the odds with a hit comedy earning golden globe nods its freshman season? It's Jess!
Well its Zooey Deschanel as "Jess" -- the quirky girl next door is ready to continue her adventures on Fox with all new episodes!
"Continuing on in the same vein but we know the characters better and I think get to explore new territories," explains Deschanel.
Even though Zooey and the show didn't win a trophy at Sunday's award show - the vote of confidence helps keep the laughs rolling...
"We're so thankful and excited that the show has been so well received and we've done well so far our goal is to just keep making good material and hopefully people will keep on watching."
It takes a lot to make a hit show work, including the writing and if the script can get laughs before they shoot, it's always a good sign.
"Sometimes during the table reads I'm laughing so hard I can't finish my sentence I have to compose myself; the writing is so funny on the show."
