Yarnell buys Angel Food brand

Terms of the sale were not announced. Yarnell distributes national labels that include Nestle, Haagen-Dazs, and Dreyer`s/Edy`s. The addition of the Angel Food brand gives the company a presence in Tennessee, Mississippi and southwestern Kentucky. Founded in 1932, Searcy operates a manufacturing plant and has eleven branch operations in three states. Yarnell`s brand is sold in Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Oklahoma, Tennessee and Texas. The two firms are leaders in the premium ice cream business.
