Suspect Escapes Springdale Police - For Now

Shortly after 10am officers tried to stop a white Geo Metro after noticing fake license plates. The driver sped off and led police on a chase that went into Tontitown before turning north off of Highway 412 and into Benton County. At least one patrol car was damaged in the chase. Police say they lost site of the vehicle on county roads...so the pursuit ended. But police have identified the driver of the car as Charles Hammons - and plan to arrest him.
