A Giant Paper Plane Takes Flight and The World's Longest Dodgeball Game

An 800 pound paper airplane took to the skies outside of Tucson, Arizona. The plane measures 45 feet long with a 24 foot wingspan. The design is based on a paper plane made by a 12 year old, who won a contest at the Pima Air and Space Museum. The plane was lifted into the air by helicopter, then released. It reached speeds of up to 98 miles an hour.
Part of a dam that stood for more than a century in Columbus, Georgia was detonated Thursday. The Eagle and Phoenix Dam is being removed to make way for a whitewater course in the Chattahochee River. Another section will be blasted soon, and the entire dam will be gone by the end of summer.
Airmen at Schriever Air Force Base in Colorado attempted to break a dodgeball world record. The team played for 40 hours straight. The current record of 31 continuous hours of dodge ball was set in Albany, New York. Proceeds from the game will benefit the Air Force Assistance Fund, supporting Air Force families
