Ford CEO's Salary Revealed

By: Amanda Ashley
Updated: March 30, 2012
If you don't think you could win the Mega Millions jackpot, maybe consider a career as Ford CEO?

The head of the American-based car company made $29.5 million dollars last year, according to a company filing today.

Overall, CEO Alan Mulally was paid about three million dollars more than in 2010. He's been credited with turning things around at Ford, a company seen as the weakest of the big three US car makers about eight years ago.

But it was the only one to not take money from the government auto bailout.  The United Auto Workers president says Mulally's pay is "morally wrong."

Ford's big rival, GM, has not revealed how much its CEO made yet.
