Lori Appelhans says she has a pretty full life.
She works full time for Maidenform, is married, and has a seven year old son named Tate, but one day she made a discovery that changed her whole perspective on life.
Through a self breast exam, Lori Discovered her Breast Cancer
She now has what's called a "port" under her skin that allows Doctors to more easily give her medicine and fluids.
She says, she quickly discovered her "port" is uncomfortable with a seat belt and with a bra --that ---led her to a discovery
Her company makes a bra she says is perfect for those getting the same type of treatment. In fact Lori and Her company Maidenform donated a thousand of these bras to local agencies for other women like Lori using a port for chemotherapy.
Today Lori says shes resting up for her double mastectomy but wants other women out there to remember to do their self exams because it could be the difference between life and death.
We hope you'll join us as we support women like Lori in the fight against breast cancer Saturday, April 28th at The Komen Ozark Race For The Cure.
