Students and Fans Hoping for Coach's Speedy Recovery

"Somebody had obviously been hurt, we didn't know who it was," said April Noble.

She had no idea she drove by a motorcycle accident involving head football coach Bobby Petrino in the Crosses community Sunday evening.

"We had seen a state trooper had his lights on and there was a motorcycle off in the ravine," Noble said.  "You could tell it had been wrecked."

Monday morning, news of the crash quickly spread across the University of Arkansas campus, mainly through social media.

"I just kind of found out through Twitter," said one student.

"I woke up this morning and just got on twitter like I usually do and everyone was talking about it. He
was like a trending topic on Twitter," another student said.

Many were stunned, saying they didn't even know the coach rode a motorcycle.

"He seems like a cool guy, it doesn't really surprise me that's maybe what he wanted to do with his time, but I was definitely worried," said one freshman student.

"I'm glad we have a guy as tough as him coaching our team."

Coach Petrino's accident was all the talk back at the Fayetteville salon where Noble works.

"We have a lot of the student body come in, a lot of the coaching staff come in so I'm just glad to hear he's okay even though he had injuries," said Melisa Parker.

"He's huge here, we love him to death and we wish nothing but the best for him and a speedy recovery," added Tim Rodriguez.

Sentiments that are echoed by the entire Razorback community.
