Idol Edge: Contestants Talk Favorite Guest Mentor; McCreery Wins Big at CMA

But music mentor Jimmy Iovine says it's his job to point out the contestants flaws.
"Not everybody is equal," says Iovine. "So that's my job that it's pointed out to the audience and that you can do really well, but you didn't do good enough."
And although the contestants have been mentored with the likes of Will.I.Am, Mary J. Blige and Sean Combs, several have a favorite.
"Stevie Nicks was my favorite by far," says Phillip Phillips. "She did her homework up until 4 in the morning, and gave us great advice."
"Whatever she said she meant it," adds Elise Testone. "And she was really considering us personally and using her experience to guide us."
In former Idol News Scotty McCreery won new artist of the year at the Academy of Country Music Awards.
"It feels incredible," says Scotty. "It was a long process being nominated to this and getting fans rallied up - but it's wild."
Those loyal fans made Scotty the youngest man in history to top the billboard 200 with his debut album "Clear as Day".
