Tulsa authorities are promising to thoroughly investigate whether a deadly shooting rampage last Friday was racially motivated.

Five people, all black, were shot.

Three died and police say one of two suspects now in custody may have been seeking revenge for the murder of his father.

19-year-old Jacob England and 32-year-old Alvin Watts went before a judge Monday, both facing charges of first degree murder and attempted murder.

The two are believed to be responsible for Friday's shooting rampage in a predominantly black Tulsa neighborhood that left three dead and two others wounded.

That's not what Tulsa, Oklahoma is about and that's not what our people are about".

All victims were believed to be randomly selected, stopped by the killers who were driving around, asking directions and then gunning down the victims.

Relief for the terrorized neighborhoods came with the arrests just prior to Easter services Sunday morning.

On a Facebook page appearing to belong to England, posts made just hours before the rampage refer to the second anniversary of his father's murder in Tulsa, for which England blamed a black man.

District Attorney Tim Harris said everything will be investigated.

"If the evidence supports that and we believe we can prove those elements of a hate crime that will certainly be considered at the appropriate time," Tulsa District Attorney Tim Harris said Monday.

Bond for each man was set at $9 million, with formal charges and arraignment scheduled for next week.
