King says he alerted his supervisor then went to pick up petrino. The coach was very bloody and barely able to speak, only groaning, says king.
While rushing petrino to the hospital, king says petrino said nothing about the accident except that a gust of wind blew him off the road.
The next day, monday the 2nd, a man named benjamin williams called king and said he's one of the people that picked petrino up after his crash. He asked if coach and his lady friend were okay. This contradicts later statements from the williams family who insisted petrino did not have a female with him.
Later in the afternoon, petrino spoke with king and asked to delay his interview with police until the next day after he'd been released from the hospital. The two made arrangements to conduct the interview after football practice on tuesday the 3rd. Coach petrino specifically asked if passenger information was required. King informed him police just needed the name and address. If they didn't have a name, the report would state "unidentified white female." king says he did not ask petrino the name, and petrino didn't ask him to keep her name off the report.
The following day, at approximately 3:45 in the afternoon, petrino held a press conference... Detailing the events of the crash.
He denied having anyone else on the motorcycle with him.
That evening, petrino did his interview with police. Then, he personally introduced the officers to his passenger, jessica dorrell.
Two days later on thursday at approximately 2:50 pm, king says he contacted petrino to inform him the police report would be released later that afternoon.
