NW Arkansas Naturals Reveal Details of Home Opener

Professional baseball returns to NW Arkansas Thursday for the Naturals home opener at Arvest Ballpark in Springdale.

The homestand starts with a special opening night fireworks show following the games on Thursday and Friday night.  On Saturday the first 2,500 fans will receive an Arvest bank ballpark calendar.  And kids eat free for Sunday's game, which includes great activities for the whole family.

Naturals General Manager Eric Edelstein will appear on Fox 24 News Edge at 9:00 to talk about what families can expect to see at the ballpark this weekend.  You can also check out the official press release from the Naturals below.

The Naturals return to Arvest Ballpark after a six game road trip to Corpus Christi and San Antonio to start a six game homestand against the same two clubs.  The homestand features two fireworks shows on Opening Night Thursday April 12 and Friday April 13.  All the action gets started with Opening Night festivities on Thursday!

Thursday, April 12th - Naturals vs. Corpus Christi Hooks, 6 P.M. (Gates open at 5)

    POST-GAME FIREWORKS - A special Opening Night Fireworks show follows the game.
    Magnet Schedule Giveaway - The first 5,000 fans to enter Arvest Ballpark will receive a commemorative magnet schedule presented by Strike Out Stroke and Pinnacle Hills promenade along with media partners KIX 104, Magic 107.9, 93.3 The Eagle, and Hot Mix 101.9
    Russell Hantz Appearance - Appearance by Russell Hantz, two-time veteran of CBS' Survivor.  Autograph signing 6:30-7:30 in the main concourse.
    5th Year Commemorative Video - As part of the Pre-Game festivities, come early to see a five-minute video that takes a look back at some of the memories of the first four seasons
    Liberty Bank Community Heroes Debut - Military veterans take the line with the Naturals' starting lineup as the season-long Community Heroes program, presented by Liberty Bank, begins.

Friday, April 13th - Naturals vs. Corpus Christi Hooks, 7 P.M. (Gates open at 6)

    POST-GAME FIREWORKS - A spectacular fireworks show after every Friday home game, this week presented by Farm Rich and media partners 40/29 News, the Arkansas CW, and KIX 104
    5th Year Anniversary Celebration- All game long we'll take a look back at our first four years and some of the best moments in Naturals' history.

Saturday, April 14th - Naturals vs. Corpus Christi Hooks, 7 P.M. (Gates open at 6)

    Arvest Ballpark Calendar Giveaway - The first 2,500 fans will receive an Arvest Bank Ballpark Calendar, presented by Arvest Bank along with media partners 105.7 and 98.3 The Keg.  The calendar features photos of promotions, the ballpark, and Naturals players from the 2011 season.

Sunday, April 15th - Naturals vs. San Antonio Missions, 2 P.M.  (Gates open at 1)

    Kids Eat Free Sunday - presented by Tyson, Mrs. Bairds, Frito-Lay, and Sierra Mist along with media partner Magic 107.9.  Kids 12 and under can eat free on all Sundays during the 2012 season.
    Family Sunday -Enjoy great activities for the family including kids run the bases after the game, a balloon artist, and more.

Monday, April 16th - Naturals vs. San Antonio Missions, 7 P.M. (Gates open at 6)

    Ozarks Electric Monday Night Lights - presented by Ozark Electric along with media partner ESPN 92.1 The Ticket  Fans who bring their Ozarks Electric bill  or Co-op Connections Card to the Arvest Ballpark ticket office will be able to purchase buy one, get one free Premium, Reserved, or Jack Link's grass berm tickets.
    Dollar Hot Dogs - Hot dogs available at the concession stands for just $1 each courtesy of Tyson Foods.
    Popeyes Baseball Bingo - Presented by Popeye's and US 94.  Grab a bingo card on the way into the ballpark and follow along with the action for a chance to win great prizes from Popeye's!

Tuesday, April 17th  - Naturals vs. San Antonio Missions, 7 P.M. (Gates open at 6)

    Arvest Customer Appreciation Night - Fans who bring their Arvest card or statement to the Arvest Ballpark ticket office will be able to purchase buy one, get one free premium or reserved tickets.
    Half Price Group Night - Groups of 20 or more can purchase either Jack Link's grass berm seats or reserved tickets for 50% off, call 927-4900 to book your group even at Arvest Ballpark, presented by media partners 92.1 The Ticket and Warm 94.9.
    Family Four Pack Night - Purchase four reserved tickets, four hamburger/cheeseburger combos, and a program/scorecard for $37 in advance or $47 on gameday.  Order at the box office or by calling 927-4900.
