Updated: April 17, 2012
An expansion at the Veterans Hospital brings more jobs to Fayetteville.

The Veterans Health Care System of the Ozarks plans to hire more than 100 new positions when they open the planned 144,000 square foot clinical addition.  Positions will be hired now through the fall 2012.

"We are excited to be able to expand the health care services provided to this nation's heroes, our Veterans" stated Mark A. Enderle, M.D., Medical Center Director., in a press release. "These new positions will provide care for the Veterans as well as jobs for the local community."

The VHSO says they will hire approximately half the openings now and the remaining positions will be announced by the summer 2012.  All being recruited will focus on specialty and ambulatory care and range from nurses to medical technologists and from housekeepers to mechanics and carpenters.
