State Senator Bill Pritchard, the longtime incumbent, taking on current State Representative Jon Woods in a debate at the Clarion Inn in Fayetteville.
The two republicans share some political stances.
Both believe Arkansas needs to lower taxes in hopes of bring more jobs to the state.
But on other topics, these guys are very different, and both want your vote.
"On illegal immigration, guns and taxes, we're night and day," Woods says. "My opponent is someone that's more of a go-along, a get-along part of the establishment and I would consider myself more conservative and someone who really wants to rock the boat.
"I have a conservative, pro-life voting record," Pritchard counters. "I've cut taxes and I'll continue to cut taxes if re-elected.
"It's all about jobs and getting the economy going again," the incumbent goes on to say.
Voters will make the final decision on May 22 during the Arkansas republican primary.
