National HIgh 5 Day is Silly with a Purpose

Today is National High Five Day.  Oh yeah, it's a thing.

In fact, every April 19 is National High-Five Day, for five years and counting, according to stayclassy.org. But this ridiculous holiday is silly with a purpose.

Folks can pledge to slap palms today and make a donation to the National High 5 Project, which raises money for cancer research.  They have a goal of raising $15,000 over the day.

You can see how close they are to their goal, make a donation and even get a "virtual high five on their website.
