Thursday afternoon hundreds of students at the University of Arkansas waited in line for a special free t-shirt.

The shirts were more than just a give away, they had a purpose.  University Relations donated the tops as a way for students to support Athletic Director Jeff Long.  Last week Long fired head football coach Bobby Petrino for his indiscretions.

Alie Davila is a student, she said, "We just really want to support Jeff Long and the whole University right now."

Student Government President Michael Dodd added, "It also unites us as a student body."

The one of kind shirts had an unmistakable message, "Integrity goes a LONG way."

Student Will Keedy said, "Its not just because of the t-shirt, its because Jeff Long did an amazing thing."

Davila added, "The whole Bobby Petrino incident, you know was a pretty unfortunate event, but the way that Jeff Long handled it was just awesome."

Taryn Haney got a t-shirt on Thursday she said, "Its a way to just support your school and show that you agree with some of the decisions that have been going on with this controversy."

Dodd agreed, "I think its really good to hi-light the integrity that Jeff used."

"By just centering in on something that is so simple actually made it more powerful for every student and every community member that was looking at this shirt."

As expected, the free tees disappeared as quickly as they showed up, and for those lucky hundreds, many were quick to don their new top.

Zach Drake said, "I'm so excited, I'm going to throw this on right now for you guys."

Dozens of students put their names on a waiting list, and the student government is hoping to hand out about 500 more shirts.
