Kim K Heading For Politics?
Kim Kardashian says she's ready for politics. The reality star says she will run for mayor of Glendale, California. In an un-aired clip from E's "Khloe and Lamar" Kim tells her sister she plans to purchase a home in Glendale and run for office in about five years. She's apparently called on a friend to help her legitimize her forthcoming campaign.
Why Glendale? Kim says it's an "Armenian town", a nod to the Kardashian family's heritage. 

Anniversary of OKC Bombing
Today marks the 17th anniversary of the Oklahoma City bombing. On April 19, 1995, a bomb exploded at the Murrah Federal building in Oklahoma City.  The blast killed 168 people and wounded more than 500. Today, Oklahoma governor mary fallin took part in a ceremony to honor the victims. 

Levon Helm Dies at Age 71
The legendary rocker lost his long battle with throat cancer Thursday. The 71 year old was born in Marvell Arkansas and grew up in Turkey Scratch just west of Helena.
Helm is best known as the leader singer and drummer of "the band". The musician lent his musical talents to classic rock and folk hits like " The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down, "The Weight" and "Up on Cripple Creek". He leaves behind his wife, Sandy and daughter, Amy.

Pat Summitt Passing on the Whistle
Pat Summit passed on the whistle to longtime assistant Holly Warlick.  Warlick was officially promoted Thursday to head coach of the Tennessee women's basketball team. Summitt, who won more games than anyone else in NCAA college basketball, will assume a new role as Head Coach Emeritus. The 59 year old coach revealed late last year she'd been diagnosed with early onset dementia.

Dick Clark
Fans of all ages are remembering Dick Clark and paying tribute to the former "American Bandstand" emcee after his passing Wednesday. In Los Angeles, flowers and a wreath were left by mourners on Clark's star. In Branson, Missouri  fans gathered outside his 'American Bandstand' theater on Wednesday to leave flowers and attend a candlelight vigil. America's oldest teenager suffered a fatal heart attack at the age of 82.
