The retailer invited companies owned by women and minorities to pitch their products to a team of buyers at the Sam's Club home offices.
Helen Lampkin created her company "My Brother's Salsa" in 2003, and last year Sam's Club started carrying the Fayetteville-based brand.
"It's expanding our territory, it's growing our customer base, so we're able to get more salsa out there," Lampkin says.
About one hundred and twenty potential suppliers showed up for the event.
