Rhea Lana's is the mother load of consignment shopping for moms. The week long shopping event has everything from outfits for babies to furniture for the entire family.

Families who have outgrown items can make money by selling them, and new families that are still growing can purchase these items at discount prices.

In just six years, the event hasn't just taken baby steps. It's gotten bigger by leaps and bounds.

"It's been incredible. We've grown exponentially," organizer Ashley Shaver said.

Shaver says shopping savvy moms are the main reason for the big success.

"With this economy families are looking for ways to be smart," she said.  "Even families that have done well with this economy. Moms are looking to be savvy."

Not only does the event save money for families, but it gives back to the community. Items that aren't sold still find places in homes that need them the most.

"We have about 8,000 items that we donate at the end of each event," Shaver said. "

So it's a win, win, win. Families make money on old items. Other families save money on discount prices. And, some families receive a helping hand they desperately need.
