L.A. was never the same after four police officers were found not guilty in the beating of Rodney King.
Riots broke out and parts of L.A. were set ablaze.
Reverend Dr. Cecil Murray was a prominent South Central pastor at the time of the riots.
He remembers it as "hell."
A year before the trial, an amateur video emerged of L.A. police beating parolee, Rodney King.
During the riots, Rodney King went public saying "Can't we all just get along?"
20 years later, those five words still stand strong. L.A. repaired much of its city by
adding officers and cutting down crime.
King still struggles with alcohol, but remains a symbol of police brutality.
