Schools Are Celebrating National Teacher Day

Schools all across the country are celebrating National Teacher Day.

The holiday was only officially recognized by Congress once, on March 7, 1980. But, the National Education Association has continued to honor teachers every year. In 1985, the official date was changed to Tuesday of the first full week in May.
