To celebrate its 50th anniversary, the Space Needle in Seattle sponsored a unique contest. Competitors faced off in a variety of challenges that defy gravity.
When it was all done, the person with the most points won a trip to the stars. The grand prize is a suborbital ride into space. Legendary astronaut Buzz Aldrin will announce the winner Wednesday.
'Tis the season for creative prom dresses. A Michigan teen made her gown out of Starburst candy wrappers. It took 18,000 wrappers to complete the ensemble. She even accessorized with a Starburst purse and matching hair bands. Friends and family helped collect the wrappers over the past year.
A group of teenagers in Wisconsin expected their perfect looks to last all night but instead they were soaking wet in a matter of minutes. The teens went to the waters of Lac La Belle on Saturday to take a group photo before prom where they took a pre-event plunge as the wood deck fell from below them. They were pulled safely from the water and with a few touch ups they were on their way and even made it to the prom on time.
