Walton Arts Center Weighs In on Plans for a Parking Deck

The future of Fayetteville's downtown parking deck project is now being discussed by board members and employees at the Walton Arts Center.
Now that city officials have narrowed the list of possible sites down to two, the Walton Arts Center is weighing in on the location of the proposed 300-space parking deck to determine which choice is the best fit for them.
The options include building a deck on the non-profit group's current parking lot on Dickson Street or behind the center on what's called the "Theater Lot".
A representative from the WAC says an architect will be hired to help with the decision. After weighing the pros and cons of each location, the center hopes to submit a complete report to the city council sometime in the next three months.
