The new program is called "Arkansas Ideas" and it was put in place by the State Department of Education and the Arkansas education television network. It`s goal is to help teachers meet continuing requirements anywhere in the state. Education director Kathleen Branton says the online portal is free and teachers will be able to access more than 70 courses starting in October.
